Take Advantage of Your Chances
Have you ever been in a situation where you were in
a lot of trouble and you prayed to the Heavens Above that if God were to get
you through this one, you will never do it again? What did you do months down
the road? My point is that a lot of people appreciate the troubled situation
that they were in at the time, but rarely do those individuals actually make the
most of that chance.
My encouragement to you is to take advantage of the
chances that life gives. Too many times individuals focus on the negative aspects
of life and disregard the positives. Almost always, there is a positive opportunity
in any bad situation. One must open their eyes to see them and be smart enough
to take advantage of them.
For example, breaking up with your spouse is a
situation that most people may hate. However, it might turn out be one of the
best decisions of your life. That person could have been holding you back from
your success in the professional, personal, or spiritual realm. There are a lot
of individuals who are with someone for comfort, a certain level of stability,
etc. There is nothing wrong with being with a person for those reasons;
however, you do not want to give up the great for the good.
After reading Sherman Williams’ book, “the Crimson
Cowboy: The Rise and Fall of a
Three-Time Champion,” I realized that a lot of individuals get second chances
(even three or four) in life. But, it is all about what you do with those
chances. What is it worth to have many chances if you decide not to get the
most out of on them? It is almost worse than having no chance at all.
My encouragement to those who have had several
chances or have had no chances at all is to keep moving forward from a positive
viewpoint. If you have had several chances, wake up and realize them while
capitalizing upon them. If you feel like you have not had any chances, take a
positive look upon the situation and you will realize that you have a chance to
do something good. Aut inveniam viam
aut faciam. I shall either find
a way or make one. Hannibal
