Steadfast
Steadfast is an adjective that means “very devoted or loyal to a person, belief, or cause : not changing” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). In present day society, there is little to no steadfastness in people, beliefs or causes. Many go through daily life without a sense of purpose or dedication for their life. And wonder what is happening in their lives when the promotion comes, relationship status change on Facebook or the dream home is purchased. The answer to the wondering question is that there needs to be an attainment to a higher purpose. I know there are individuals who preach the good feeling of life. However, I caution and encourage everyone to truly seek passion and purpose, not for mere feelings but for the betterment of society as a whole. We must hold steadfast to family and true friends. We must hold steadfast to morally good beliefs. We must hold steadfast to fights for significant causes. For me, the true feeling of steadfastness comes out of the feelings of
