Stay true to yourself
Many times, we as human beings try to make up for our shortcomings by pretending to be someone we are not. However, it is important that we realize who we were, who we are and who we are trying to become. More so, we must understand what makes us tic or the thing that motivates us. This is not a suggestion to remain in our ways. But, this post is a call to be more than what we are without throwing our true selves into a bottomless pit. We fight all our lives to accomplish goals and salary amounts without a blink of an eye. But, in the process we may lose a piece of ourselves because we think the accomplishments are all about becoming some one who is successful and know what they want. However, some times we throw treasures out with the junk in the process of spring-cleaning. We must realize that every experience that seems bad isn’t. This experience just may be a conflict between personality traits and our growing lives. A few questions can help make someone stay true to himself or herself: (a) Is what you are proposing to change something morally wrong; (b) what you are trying to change worth it [everything in life has a cost]; and (c) is this the path you want to take to achieve your goal?
